This is the story of Lala, a small island in Fiji that is home to endangered sea birds, marine turtles and coconut crabs.
Brad Moore, CEO of Peking Petroleum wants to flatten the island and turn it into a oil production facility.
However, green businessman Richard Holmes has an alternative plan to turn the island into a world-class sustainable project. This puts Holmes in the crosshairs of Brad Moore's brutal and emotionally challenged body-guard, Teck.
Brad Moore would never offset his air travel emissions because he sees the planet as something to be exploited remorselessly, and offsetting emissions is an unneccesary cost.
Bren Hannan, the Climate Cop (pictured) would offset anything, even her Chamomile tea, if she could.
Bren's new associate, Danny Lexion, Townsville legend, a man whose mission in life was to do okay and look good, has plenty of money but probably wouldn't offset because he doesn't really get all this fuss about the planet.
Madeline Obst, Corporate Communications Consultant, the liar for hire, would offset her air travel emissions if she saw a marketing edge in it.
And poor old Teck. He would do whatever he was told, even kill the only woman he ever loved.
Saving the planet is a deadly business whether you offset your emissions or not. Read The Oil Price now.
RE: Carbon Offsetting for business air travel at Tropical Energy Solutions
Following your introduction of the new carbon offsetting tools under the My Clean Sky program we decided to commit our company to offset all its air travel carbon emissions by using the online tool on your website.
We will commence this with immediate effect and appreciate your use of locally produced and managed carbon credits.
Our company's emissions are comparatively small but we hope that our action can encourage other SME's to make similar commitments.
This letter is to formally inform you that Reef Ball Australia will offset, via My Clean Sky, all air travel conducted by its staff, taking effect as of today.
We thank you for your support and excellent service with the provision of carbon offsets for the concrete that we use to construct our artificial reef modules, and feel the next logical step is to offset air travel as many of our projects are overseas and require long distance flights.
As you know, many of our projects involve mitigating impacts/damage to coral reefs and we can no longer ignore the impact global warming is having on changing seawater pH and the effect this will have on marine life and reefs worldwide.
Therefore we are proud to support your timely and
crucial service and will encourage our partners to do the same.
Re: Endorsement for My Clean Sky carbon offset service.
My name is Jessica Dolphin and I am an impartial representative of the interests of the dolphins who live in Cleveland Bay, a total population of around three hundred.
The three species of dolphin in Cleveland Bay that I impartially represent include the cute, demure Snub-fin Dolphins (of which I am one), those annoying show-ponies the Bottle-nosed Dolphins, and the frumpy Indo-pacific Humpback Dolphins.
Because dolphins appear to be smiling, humans often assume that we are always happy. But being dolphin is a dog's life, if you will excuse the pun. And I should know, I am one.
You may think that its all fun and blowing bubbles for the dolphins who live in Cleveland Bay, but let me tell you since the white-fella showed up and started tampering with the environment, its been a struggle. The water quality has got worse with all the run-off from the farms and the city. And the food supply has dried up because of those dang fishermen. We are constantly in danger of being run over by ferries, tinnies and jet skies, snared in shark nets and choked to death on bits of plastic. Plus, it is so damn noisy in the bay that we can barely hear ourselves echo-locate. They say that there is a special bond between dolphins and humans – my cloaca there is – not in Cleveland Bay anyway.
Now we hear that climate change – caused by you humans - is hotting up and ecosystems all around the world are under threat. Hello. intelligent beings! We are in the tropics – we don't need it any hotter. If the climate change story is true, we are going to end up like the Snub-fins of Ellis Beach, Cairns – all dead .
The only upside is that if the sea level rises, and assuming there are any dolphins left, we will be chasing cuttlefish around the furniture on the Strand by the year 2050. It is so exasperating that you guys get the credit for being the ‘intelligent species'.
Given this dire predicament, we welcome any attempt to mitigate impact of climate change. The My Clean Sky carbon offset service should taken up by everyone who flies out of Townsville. And to the extent that this will help to reduce the net concentration of carbon di-oxide in the atmosphere and slow down climate change, it is welcomed by the Townsville Dolphins.
So long, and thanks (for not taking) all the fish.
Beneath Hill 60 is a Feature Film project set to be filmed entirely on location in Townsville. Its gripping true story, based on the WWI of Australia, Captain Oliver Woodward pays homage to the Australians who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their young nation.
The creative team and most of the Heads of Department in the crew, as well as Principal cast members are from Sydney, where the project was developed will need to travel to Townsville for the stages of Pre Production and Production (film shoot).
This means we will be travelling a lot by air.
It is wonderful to be able to reduce our carbon footprint with Beneath Hill 60 by joining My Clean Sky and offsetting all our carbon emissions from air travel.
We can move forward with this exciting Australian film project, proud in the knowledge that together with My Clean Sky we have offset the impact on the fragile environment.
It is a very positive step towards an environmentally friendly and sustainable future, which businesses and corporations are now able to play an active part.
With very best wishes from the team at Beneath Hill 60.
Having seen the evolution of My Clean Sky it is a privilege to be now able to say “let's cooperate to reduce my carbon footprint.”
As I develop each of my new Wild Discovery Guides I am all too aware of our global problems of over-population and excessive resource use by sectors of the global community with Australians being major offenders in that regard.
I, with your other clients, look forward to your positive contribution to bringing about a much needed change. As of today all my flight carbon offsets will be with My Clean Sky.
Please consider me part of the family and I look forward to a positive relationship and contribution towards our desperate situation globally.

These days minimizing your carbon foot print is not only a catch phrase but it is quickly becoming a way of life for many Australians. As time goes on in our young country we can see the impression that we are making on our environment and are quickly coming to the conclusion that we need to take more care of what we have been given so that our children and grand children can enjoy the simple things that we have.
Our future generations must be able to experience the freedon of running through fresh water creeks, catching yabbies and fish, camping in thebush next to a billabong or simply lazing on the beach.
This will only happen if we make it happen.
Allsafe Energy Efficient Products are a total climate control house of brands and we join and support you in tout "Clean Sky" initiaitve, and will be offsetting all Business related flights from this day forward.
Thank you for showing me around the My Clean Sky service. As I indicated at the time, I am very
impressed by the way in which you have linked food security to air travel emissions. As you now, I
have a professional background in Rural Science and think that you are spot on in choosing soil
carbon sequestration as your carbon offset source.
My firm, People Grow Business, provides human resources expertise to organisations in Queensland
and interstate. We fly periodically for our work. To be honest, I don’t normally tick the box, so in
future, I will be supporting a local, ticking the My Clean Sky box and will offset our flights with My
Finally, regarding the debate as to whether jet fuel is or isn’t made of old fish, I have considered this
at length and have formed a firm opinion that indeed, jet fuel is made of old fish. There has got to be

The Balcony Restaurant is known as ‘Townsville's best kept secret'. Famous for it's all day breakfast menu and delicious lunches and popular for its private evening functions too! However it is no secret that we are a very environmentally responsible restaurant and as such we congratulate you on your wonderful achievement of making carbon offsets so easy that anyone can do it – even if you remember after the flight!!! The fact that you are using a local company to offset the carbon is even better. Townsville is definitely showing the world what is possible in sustainability.
Our restaurant is very happy to be associated with My Clean Sky and although we have always offset our flights, we now commit to only offset with your company.
At The Balcony we have increased our bottom line through making environmentally friendly changes. We now have approximately 80% of our waste recycled, we use green power and lpg gas plus have reduced actual “good food' waste by 90%.
We feel that we everyone alive today is the luckiest generation as we have an opportunity to turn climate change around – well done Guy for taking on your responsibility to help the planet and providing a service that helps us all to do the same.

Osmans Turkish themed cuisine restaurant in Townsville are proud to have a low carbon footprint due to our use of renewable energy sources including wood and charcoal, and low carbon fossil fuels such as LPG gas.
Our firm makes regular flights between Australia and Turkey (about six per annum) and we have understood the relatively high emissions footprint that this adds to our business.
We will be offsetting all business related travel as of the date of this letter.
Thank you for taking time today to show us your new web site and to offer us more insight into the
world of carbon trading.
As you know I have always been a sceptic in relation to these schemes,
primarily through a lack of understanding and a basic lack of trust that contributions would actually
translate into real “green” outcomes.
As architects we have always promoted logical, fundamental passive solutions to achieve naturally
comfortable buildings in our tropical environment, rather than relying on energy hungry and
unhealthy mechanical systems.
In recent times more and more green initiatives are being embodied
into the buildings we design.
TSA is happy now to commit a little further by supporting My Clean Sky
each time we fly, trusting that by supporting your business we will also be reducing our own carbon
We look forward to reading and understanding more through your web site, and trust that this exciting
carbon offset venture really takes off.
As a member of the Global community I was happy to see such a diverse number of people taking part in a project to help offset an international carbon emission.
Reef Lodge backpackers provides a quality accommodation service for the budget travellers. Many of our guests visit this region specifically to see the Great Barrier Reef , a global environmental icon that is greatly threatened by global warming.
As most of our guests fly to and from Australia, the carbon footprint of their holiday is quite high and thus indirectly contributes to the threat to the Great Barrier Reef .
Reef Lodge wants to set a good example of carbon management to invite our gests to similarly offset their air travel emissions.
To that end we are happy to commit to offset the CO2 emissions from our business air travel from this point on.
